Bausch + Lomb and Clearside Biomedical’s Xipere is a corticosteroid injection that is used to treat macular edema.
The Xipere triamcinolone acetonide suprachoroidal injectable suspension therapy has a proposed indication for treating macular edema associated with the eye disease uveitis. It works alongside Clearside’s SCS Microinjector to deliver the therapy to the back of the eye where the disease occurs.
