True Digital Surgery’s Occipta is an ocular-free, fully heads-up 3D microscope for reconstructive surgery.
The Goleta, California-based company designed the robotic system to provide greater control over camera positioning. Its ocular-free design allows for flexibility and range of movement with camera positioning for a more personalized view during reconstructive procedures.
Occipta has “Lock on Target” technology that allows a surgeon to select an area or object in a surgical field and pivot around to see all aspects of the fixed focal point. It also has waypoint memory technology that allows the system to save multiple positions and move automatically between the saved waypoints.
Backlight illumination in the system helps visualize surrounding structures with the option to playback in slow motion.The 4K 3D monitors lets physicians keep their backs straight and heads high for the duration of the procedure.
