Medtech supplier PTI Engineered Plastics has been named processor of the year by Plastics News.
The awards are sponsored by the Washington, D.C.-based Plastics Industry Association. Plastics News said the processor of the year award “is the most prestigious honor in the North American plastics processing sector.”
PTI Engineered Plastics is a provider of custom injection molding and contract manufacturing of medical device components and assemblies, with a specialty in low-volume production.
Plastics News said PTI won high marks in all criteria for the award, including financial performance, quality, customer relations, employee relations, environmental performance, industry and public service, and technological innovation.
“This year the company also excelled in technological innovation,” Plastics News said while announcing the award. “Thanks to its in-house expertise with automation and Industry 4.0, PTI is automating a growing number of its short-run molding jobs.
PTI previously won the Plastics News Excellence Award for Industry and Public Service in 2021 and the Plastics News Excellence Award for Customer Relations in 2019.
