Aidoc raises $110M for AI-powered care platform

Artificial intelligence-based healthcare technology developer Aidoc announced today that it raised $110 million in a Series D financing round.

Tel Aviv, Israel-based Aidoc’s latest fundraising round brings its total funding to $250 million. The company aims to use the funds to power the expansion of its Aidoc AI Care Platform designed to empower radiologists and other imaging professionals to triage potential time-critical cases and for the care team to conclude deep, actionable insights derived from imaging data, and electronic medical records.

According to a news release, Aidoc’s AI Care Platform enables hospitals to tackle the most prominent challenges, particularly in the post-pandemic scape with nursing shortages, rising supply costs and a challenging economic environment.

Aidoc wins FDA clearance for brain aneurysm triage, notification platform

Aidoc announced today that it received its ninth FDA 510(k) clearance for triage and notification of brain aneurysm.

New York-based Aidoc develops triaging and notification algorithms designed to flag and communicate certain conditions, allowing for increased efficiency in prioritizing incidental critical conditions through artificial intelligence (AI).

The newly cleared algorithm adds the flagging and communication of suspected positive cases of brain aneurysm to Aidoc’s portfolio of neuro solutions that include LVO (M1), ICH and C-spine fractures, according to a news release. The offering delivers a care coordination workflow tailored to radiologists, neuroendovascular surgeons and neurologists aiming to treat multiple and different types of patients from emergency rooms, outpatient settings, at the hub or transferred from the spoke.

It’s the latest indication for New York-based Aidoc’s triage and notification system, which has already been FDA 510(k) cleared for flagging suspected intracranial hemorrhage, large vessel occlusions, acute cervical spine fractures, pulmonary embolism, incidental pulmonary embolism, intra-abdominal free gas and rib fractures.

The new offering runs on all X-ray machines (including portable devices) to automatically flag suspected cases of pneumothorax so radiologists and other doctors can act before respiratory or cardiac failure.
