Superior Sensor Technology announces four-port, dual pressure sensor for PAP devices

Superior Sensor Technology (Los Gatos, California) today announced its CP301 — a four-port, dual pressure sensor for PAP devices.

The CP301 integrates a gauge pressure sensor and a differential pressure sensor into a small package with dedicated ports for each sensor. The result, according to the company, could make it easier and more cost-effective to design accurate and flexible PAP machines for sleep apnea, COPD, asthma and home ventilator applications. It could improve airflow and air pressure capability in continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), bi-level PAP (BiPAP) and automatic PAP (APAP) devices.
