NEWS RELEASE: Dr. Robert Schilling appointed as new CFO of RAUMEDIC AG

HELMBRECHTS, October 5, 2023 – The Supervisory Board of RAUMEDIC AG, a leading global provider of polymer-based product solutions for the medical and pharmaceutical industries, has appointed Dr. Robert Schilling as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the Executive Board, effective October 1, 2023. Schilling succeeds Daniel Seibert, who is leaving the company at his own request after almost five years.

Mr. Schilling has extensive expertise in finance and controlling, which he has demonstrated in his career in various industries – most recently at Gerresheimer AG as Global Vice President Finance & Controlling in the Medical Systems Division.

Raumedic plans lower-emission energy center project

Raumedic is working on an energy plant project at its Helmbrechts, Germany headquarters to generate heat and power from renewable sources.

The medical device component developer and manufacturer expects to cut its carbon dioxide emissions by 85% through the collaboration with energy network operator E.ON.

Raumedic plans U.S. headquarters expansion

Raumedic today said it intends to expand the clean room manufacturing facilities at its U.S. headquarters in Mills River, North Carolina.

The new clean room is expected to be completed by February 2022 and used for new product lines. The Helmbrechts, Germany-based medical device component developer and manufacturer built its existing 13,000-square-foot clean room production facility in 2016.

“Growth is the key word for describing our five years in Mills River,” Raumedic President and CEO Martin Bayer said in a news release.
