inHeart wins FDA clearance for 3D cardiac modeling software

inHeart announced today that it received FDA 510(k) clearance for its inHeart Models software suite for cardiac modeling.

France-based inHeart designed its inHeart Models software to enable the 3D visualization and analysis of anatomical structures for pre-procedural planning and intraprocedural use. FDA clearance allows for the expansion of the company’s commercial footprint in the U.S. to improve cardiac ablation procedures such as ventricular tachycardia (VT).

According to a news release, inHeart aims for its software to address the challenges of conventional VT ablation with its proprietary segmentation algorithm that analyzes preprocedural CT and or MR images to create highly detailed, interactive 3D models of the heart, giving physicians information that helps to optimize treatment strategies based on each patient’s unique cardiac anatomy.

The company said early clinical evaluations have shown the potential to reduce VT procedure times…

inHeart raises $4.2m

Cloud-based medical image analysis tech developer inHeart announced today that it closed a funding round worth $4.2 million (€3.7 million).

Pessac, France-based inHeart, which provides image analysis for cardiac interventions on patients with arrhythmias, said in a news release that the funding round, led by Elaia, will be used to accelerate commercial development in Europe, access the U.S. market and advance its technology leadership with the continued development of artificial intelligence tech and numerical simulations of cardiac electrical activity.

The inHeart software offers the ability to transform preoperative medical images into a 3D digital twin of the patient’s heart, enabling the cardiologist to better plan the procedure and assisting in navigating instruments in the patient’s heart, reducing procedure duration and failure rates.

“We are very happy to have Elaia joining inHEART in this adventure not only for its financial su…
