Traco Power today announced its new TPP 300 series of 300W high-density AC/DC power supplies.
The 300 series is “available in open frame or fan-enclosed packages for a wide range of medical and industrial applications where long-term reliability is critical and space is limited,” the company said in a news release.
The TPP 300A-M open-frame models measure 2 in. x 4 in. x 1.26 in., while the TPP 300-M enclosed with fan models are 2.44 in. x 4.6 in. x 2.32 in.
Traco said the 300 series achieves efficiencies of 91-93%, depending on the model, and offers 360W peak load power for up to five seconds, 300W continuous power (with forced-air cooling) and up to 180W continuous power (with convection cooling).

More specs and features, according to Traco, include:
- Operating temperature range: -40°C to +85°C
- Reinforced I/O isolation 3000 VAC and leakage current <100 μA rated for BF applications
- IEC/EN/ES 60601-1 (2 x MOPP compliant) and IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 (Class I & Class II) Approvals
- EMC compliance according to IEC 60601-1-2 4th edition and EN55032 class B
- Warranty: Five years
“High-quality components and high-efficiency topologies enables wide operating temperatures and high reliability over 1 million hours mean time between failures (MIL-HDBK-217F, ground benign),” the company said.
