Precision ADM Inc. Logo (High Resolution)Tecomet announced that it entered into a strategic partnership with additive manufacturer Precision ADM.

Woburn, Massachusetts-based Tecomet’s partnership with Canada-based Precision ADM expands development and production opportunities. It will address both areas of additive and subtractive manufacturing.

Specifically, Tecomet said in a news release that it focuses on the growth of additive manufacturing across medical devices and orthopedic implants. It also covers the aerospace and defense markets.

Under the partnership, both companies can jointly leverage combined resources and expertise. This compresses customer development timelines and yields expanded capabilities and capacity for each organization.

Tecomet said the partnership allows it to offer expertise in new material areas. That includes plastics, nickel alloys, aluminum, cobalt chrome and 316 SS. It also expands capacity in titanium and 17-4 stainless steel. The partnership also extends the value chain for scale in both additive and subtractive manufacturing for both companies.

Aligning approaches

“We are excited about the partnership with Precision ADM,” said Bill Dow, Tecomet president and CEO. “This initiative aligns with our steadfast approach to add value for global customers and provide full-spectrum, scalable manufacturing solutions. With this agreement, our customers will find a further commitment to innovation and continue to partner with Tecomet and our legacy of manufacturing successes.”

Precision ADM can expand its advanced digital manufacturing proprietary set of processes, while complementary capabilities with EOS metal additive platforms drive the speed of development and scalability to production.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Tecomet; an organization with a history of excellence that clearly values Precision ADM’s highly technical and advanced manufacturing processes and capabilities,” said Martin Petrak, president & CEO of Precision ADM. “Together with Tecomet, we will be able to offer clients shorter lead times and more efficient production with the same commitment to quality and manufacturing excellence for which we are both known.”
