FDA clears Transit Scientific XO Cross support catheters

Transit Scientific today announced it received FDA 510(k) clearance for its XO Cross support catheter platform for coronary use.

Park City, Utah-based Transit Scientific designed the support catheter to deliver pushability, traceability and torque response for improved access in challenging peripheral lesions. It has a non-tapered, metal-alloy and polymer construction that delivers high fatigue-resistance for tough calcium and plaque in late-stage peripheral artery disease and critical limb ischemia patients.

FDA clears XO Cross microcatheters

Transit Scientific this week announced that it has received FDA clearance for its hydrophilic-coated XO Cross microcatheters for guidewire support, exchange and contrast media injection in the peripheral vasculature.

The 510(k) clearance includes new 2Fr XO Cross 14 microcatheters, 2.6Fr XO Cross 18 microcatheters and 3.8Fr XO Cross 35 support catheters. They can be used with standard 0.014 in., 0.018 in. and 0.035 in. guidewires in 90 cm, 135 cm, 150 cm and 175 cm working lengths.

Park City, Utah-based Transit Scientific designed the XO Cross platform with a metal-alloy exoskeleton, non-tapered shaft, and proprietary hydrophilic lubricious coating. It is designed for use in peripheral lesions but not limited to above-the-knee and below-the-knee CTOs from contralateral femoral, antegrade femoral and retrograde pedal access.

Transit Scientific scoring sheath wins CE mark

Transit Scientific today said it received CE mark clearance for its XO Score scoring sheath platform.

XO Score is designed for dilation of stenotic material in the peripheral vasculature, including popliteal, infrapopliteal and native or synthetic arteriovenous dialysis fistulae.

The scoring and cutting technology in the device enables low-pressure lesion dilation and vessel prep with standard off-the-shelf PTA balloons. The sheaths can deliver enhanced angioplasty with basic balloons.

FDA clears Transit Scientific peripheral vasculature microcatheter

[Image from Transit Scientific]Transit Scientific today said it won FDA clearance for its XO Cross Microvatheter platform.

XO Cross Microcatheter is designed for guidewire support, exchange and contrast media injection in the peripheral vasculature.

Microcatheters are small 0.70-1.30mm diameter catheters that are used for guidewire support, exchanges, to access distal anatomy, cross lesions, deliver therapeutic embolic, inject contrast media and perform other procedures in complex endovascular procedures.

“We use multiple microcatheters every day,” interventional cardiologist George Adams said in a news release. “Improving access to distal vasculature is important. We are performing more radial procedures too and need long, responsive, and fatigue-resistant microcatheter technology.”

Transit Scientific’s XO Cross Microcatheter platform delivers new levels of pushability, traceability, flexibility and torque response t…
