Izi Medical Products launches fully automatic biopsy system

Izi Medical Products today launched its Quick-Core Auto Biopsy System for soft tissue biopsies.

Quick-Core Auto is a lightweight, fully automatic biopsy device that builds upon the company’s previous semi-automatic biopsy system.

“Izi has made significant strategic investments to enhance its Quick-Core tissue biopsy portfolio, including expanding the length and gauge size of its semi-automatic range, as well as introducing a fully automatic device. The Quick-Core Auto is a great solution for all soft tissue biopsy needs and complements Izi’s women’s health offering, which includes Indicator markers used during mammograms, Quick-Core, Quick-Core Auto and ColdCare Packs for biopsy sampling, and Kopans and X-Reidy localization wires used for breast localization,” CEO Greg Groenke said in a news release.

Izi Medical compression fracture system lands CE mark

Interventional radiology device maker Izi Medical Products (Owings Mills, Md.) announced today that it has received the CE mark for its Kiva vertebral compression fracture (VCF) treatment system.

Kiva is a unipedicular PEEK implant-based treatment system that is already available in the U.S. The implant is designed to mimic cancellous bone and provide structural support to prevent further collapse of vertebral body. Its unipedicular deployment method allows midline placement to support the axial vertebral body load.
