Iterative Scopes, One GI partner on AI-powered gastrointestinal care

Iterative Scopes today announced a partnership to bring its AI recruitment (AIR) technology to One GI’s clinical research.

The partnership stipulates that, initially, One GI uses AIR at its Gastro One clinical research site in Memphis, Tennessee. It then plans to expand to additional research sites within the One GI network.

Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Iterative Scopes said implementing AIR aids in the recruitment of patients for clinical trials. Those trials focus on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

One GI, a gastroenterology management services organization (MSO), has 40 sites within its network. That spans across Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana.

Iterative Scopes appoints new chief technology officer

[Image from Iterative Scopes]Iterative Scopes announced today that it appointed Aditya Khosla to its leadership team as the company’s chief technology officer.

The Cambridge, Massachusetts-based developer of artificial intelligence-based precision medicine for gastroenterology also added Khosla to its board of directors.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Khosla to the Iterative Scopes team,” founder and CEO Jonathan Ng said in a news release. “Aditya brings a dedicated expertise in machine learning and improving patient outcomes with AI-powered healthcare technologies.”

As the company’s new CTO, Khosla will head up the company’s machine learning, product management and software engineering teams.

Before assuming this new role, Khosla was the co-founder and CTO of PathAI (co-founded in 2016), leading the engineering and IT, machine learning, product and recruiting teams.

Iterative Scopes this week announced positive trial data in a study of its colorectal cancer screening algorithm, Skout.

Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Iterative Scopes designed Skout as a computer-aided device (CADe) that uses artificial intelligence and computer vision technology to detect suspicious tissue and provide real-time feedback for gastroenterologists performing the procedure.
