eSight launches next-gen vision aid

eSight announced today that it launched its eSight 4 wearable assistive device for enhancing vision in those with eye disease and disorders.

Toronto-based eSight’s latest vision aid technology includes greater visual clarity and a more versatile hardware design with cloud-based capabilities and mobile apps for people with diseases and disorders that lead to low vision and legal blindness, according to a news release.

The eSight 4 belongs to a platform of eSight devices that stimulate the remaining synaptic activity in the user’s eyes to provide the brain with increased visual information. The device provides advanced controls with zoom, focus and contrast, wireless and hands-free capabilities and cloud-based software with new mobile apps.
