Victoria Sung testified about speaking to Theranos in 2009 about helping the biopharmaceutical company in a drug trial for a medication that was in development to treat anemia. She said that the small, compact size of the Theranos devices were appealing to her, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Sung alleged that Celgene vetted the Theranos technology against “gold-standard” blood testing partners and did not have confidence in the results. The lab director testified that he felt pressured by management to defend lab tests despite the inaccuracies, multiple media sources report. In several email exchanges with Holmes’ brother Christian Holmes, Rosendorff was asked to come up with “constructive” ways of dealing with a doctor who was questioning the results of a cholesterol test performed by one of Theranos’ machines.

Adam Rosendorff, a Theranos lab director from 2013 until late 2014, testified that Holmes and other top executives were pushing him to validate tests that he was not confident in, CNBC reports. The former lab director testified that he sent an email to Holmes in August 2013 that said that the blood-testing device was not ready for a launch in Walgreens stores. He also raised issues related to the training and staffing in the laboratory.

Four-star Gen. Mattis testified that he first met Holmes in 2011 while still serving in the Marine Corps. where he oversaw troops and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. After his retirement from the U.S. in 2013, Mattis joined Theranos’ board of directors and invested $85,000 of his own money into the Silicon Valley startup, according to multiple media reports. Brittany Gould testified on Tuesday that she had taken two Theranos blood tests at a Walgreens location in Arizona that both indicated her hCG levels were dropping, according to multiple media reports.

Gould’s nurse practitioner Audra Zachman received the Theranos test results and told her that the results indicated that she was miscarrying and the pair allegedly discussed terminating the pregnancy due to the test results, Silicon Valley News reports.

Erika Cheung, a former Theranos lab associate, testified yesterday that the machines the company was using to conduct patient blood tests had inaccuracies of quality control test results that would result in inaccurate patient tests, Silicon Valley News reports. She said that some 30% of prostate cancer tests were inaccurate and thyroid tests returned with a failure rate of more than 50%.

Theranos’ former financial controller San Ho Spivey, who is referred to as Danise Yam, took the stand and testified the company’s financial condition during its heyday.

Yam told Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert Leach that Theranos had net losses of $16.2 million in 2010, $27.2 million in 2011, $57 million in 2012 and $92 million in 2013, CNBC reports. Yam also testified that Theranos made no revenue in 2012 and 2013 and that the company was spending nearly $2 million per week in 2013.

Theranos had losses of $585 million by 2015, Yam said. Prosecutors, in return, presented a document that was given to investors and showed a revenue forecast of $140 million in 2014 …
