CES 2024: Medical technologies you need to know

Over 4,000 companies and 1,500 startups across 25 technological specialties are exhibiting at this year’s CES, with many digital health companies promoting new technologies.

Digital health technologies are growing in interest at CES, which will have more than 130,000 attendees in person. Hundreds of digital health companies are touting their technologies at the show this year, including brain-computer interfaces and more non-invasive diagnostics.

Abbott CEO touts future of biowearables in first-ever healthcare company keynote at CES

Abbott (NYSE:ABT) Chairman & CEO Robert B. Ford highlighted what the future holds as he presented the first healthcare keynote ever at CES.

Speaking at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022 event, Ford headlined the “Human-Powered Health: Unlocking the Possibility of You” event, announcing that Abbott is developing a new category of biowearables called “Lingo.”

CES 2021: Medical technologies you need to know

There are fewer mobile health devices and wearables to check out as this year’s CES goes virtual — with a trend toward medtech to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Scheduled for Jan. 11–14, CES 2021 will feature 419 digital health and 219 wearable devices, down from 546 and 635 devices, respectively, presented at CES 2020.

CES 2021 will include portable air purifiers, hands-free body temperature thermometers, EEG brain mapping devices and more.
