Artio Medical adds $28M in oversubscribed Series A

Artio Medical announced that it picked up an additional $28 million in an oversubscribed financing round.

The oversubscribed Series A2 and Series A3 financings bring the Prairie Village, Kansas-based company’s total amount raised in the round to $74 million.

According to a news release, Artio Medical plans to use the funds to support its U.S. commercialization efforts for its recently FDA-cleared Solus Gold embolization device, as well as to accelerate the development of its portfolio of products and expand its engineering and manufacturing capabilities.

The company has 10 products under development for the peripheral vascular market, including Solus Gold and Solus Flex, both of which are embolization devices for peripheral vessel occlusion. It is also working on the Amplifi vein dilation system for preparing hemodialysis patients for successful arteriovenous fistula vascular access site creation.

Artio Medical wins FDA clearance for Solus Gold embolization device

Artio Medical this week announced it received FDA clearance for its Solus Gold embolization device for peripheral vascular occlusion.

Solus Gold is indicated to obstruct or reduce the rate of blood flow in the peripheral vasculature. The delivery system uses flexibility and push ability to enable physicians to navigate tortuous vasculature.

Artio Medical today announced that it received the green light to build commercial manufacturing operations in Kansas.

The City council in Olathe, Kansas approved a development agreement that granted land to Prairie Village, Kansas-based Artio Medical to build two commercial manufacturing buildings. The company plans to build an initial 50,000+ sq. ft facility on the 18-acre parcel land.

Artio Medical today announced that it received the green light to build commercial manufacturing operations in Kansas.

The City council in Olathe, Kansas approved a development agreement that granted land to Prairie Village, Kansas-based Artio Medical to build two commercial manufacturing buildings. The company plans to build an initial 50,000+ sq. ft facility on the 18-acre parcel land.

Through the agreement, Artio Medical can build a second building on the parcel and is cleared to acquire adjacent land for a third building to potentially bring the total project to over 150,000 sq. ft.

“We are pleased to announce the approval of this development agreement,” Olathe Chamber of Commerce CEO Tim McKee said in a news release. “Artio had several options for locating its commercial manufacturing operations and we are delighted with their decision to keep these jobs in the U.S. and bring them to Olathe.”
