Contract manufacturer Arterex buys Micromold and moves operations to Mexico

Arterex today announced its acquisition of Micromold and said it would move the medtech supplier’s operations from Riverside, California to Tecate, Mexico.

Micromold manufactures custom precision micromolded parts. The company has 20 BOY Machines Inc. injection molding machines, ranging from 10 to 33 tons in vertical and horizontal configurations.

“Micromold brings with it over 40 years of expertise from mold design to end customer fulfillment service that allows us to expand our services and capabilities to our growing customer base,” Arterex North America President Bill Gerard said in a news release. “The company is an ideal addition to our offering of high-quality precision injection molded medical components, assemblies, product design and development services.”
