Americares sending 100 tons of medical supplies to Ukraine

Americares this week announced it will deliver 100 tons of critically needed medicine and medical supplies to Ukraine.

The Stamford, Connecticut-based health-focused relief and development organization said the shipment will support healthcare providers who are treating children and adults affected by the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. The supplies include antibiotics, medicines for conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, wound care products and first aid and hygiene supplies.

BD commits $500,000 to reduce healthcare inequities in the U.S.

BD (NYSE:BDX) this week announced that it committed $500,000 to improve the quality of care and reduce health inequities in the U.S.

Franklin Lakes, N.J.-based BD will award health-focused relief organization Americares $250,000 annually for the next two years to support a multi-year project that will collect demographic and patient health outcome data from free and charitable clinics nationwide.
