MRI-compatible intraoperative robotics developer AiM Medical Robotics announced today that it raised $3.4 million in a seed funding round.
Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based AiM Medical Robotics designed its robotic platform to be cost-efficient, streamlined and differentiated in its ability to improve outcomes for those undergoing neurosurgery for functional brain disorders such as Parkinson’s and epilepsy, as well as cancer.
The company said in a news release that it plans to use the funds to accelerate the development of its MRI-compatible neurosurgery platform and to grow its team across research, engineering and clinical and medical affairs.
