SientraSientra (NSDQ:SIEN) today said it appointed Denise Dajles as VP of research and development, effective June 2.

Dajles will lead the Santa Barbara, Calif.-based company’s R&D and medical affairs teams and will report to CEO Ron Menezes.

Prior to joining the company, Dajles served as senior director of research, development, and innovation at Establishment Labs. She was responsible for executing more than 10 new product and technology projects. She has also served as an advisor, investigator and interim director in the biomedical engineering lab at the University of Costa Rica School of Engineering.
