ProMed Molded Products has scheduled an open house of its new development facility in Plymouth, Minnesota, from 1-4 p.m. on Oct. 9
The contract manufacturer — which supports applications in medical devices and drug-releasing combination devices — will let registrants tour the facility, meet the executive team and plan projects.
The ProMed Development Center is at 15255 23rd Ave. In Plymouth, less than a mile from the company’s headquarters. ProMed opened the 28,000 ft² facility earlier this year as a “dedicated space for early-stage programs.”
“Within this center, ProMed fosters cross-functional collaboration between prototyping, tooling and development teams to reduce the time required to launch a new product,” the company said. “Early registrants will be entered to win up to $3500 in prototype tooling for their next project. Come meet with our experts and see how we can help launch your next program!”
ProMed said the new facility has around 40 engineers and support staff. Its services and capabilities include high-precision injection molding, multicomponent/overmolding processes, advanced material blending accommodating additives for specialty materials such as desiccants and carbon-based conductive silicones, testing and quality inspection, tool design and tool production, including high precision 5-axis machining and automation.
The facility also has additional manufacturing space to establish value-added services beyond molding for unique project requirements, the company said.
ProMed will also exhibit at booth 2309 for the MDM Minneapolis medical design and manufacturing show, which runs Oct. 10-11 at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
