Pantheon Surgical recently announced its acquisition of the Topaz/Compressive sacroiliac screw system.

Pantheon Surgical acquired the technology from Osseus Fusion Systems, which will continue to distribute the Blue Topaz/Compressive system. Financial terms of the deal were undisclosed.

“I’m excited about the transfer acquisition of the Blue Topaz/Compressive system into the Pantheon armamentarium. I look forward to a continued relationship with our phenomenal distribution network. We will continue to develop the system by adding two sizes and size surface technologies in the near future,” Pantheon Surgical CEO Eric Hansen said in a news release.

The Blue Topaz/Compressive screw system boasts distal cutting flutes and dual lead threads that allow for effortless bone grip, according to Pantheon Medical. Its perforated, open implant design results in improved osseointegration and reduced radiographic signature, and integrated safety features help control targeting and screw insertion and incorporate a post-fusion removal system.

Pantheon Surgical’s other products include the Pontus implant, the Epiphany implant, the Trident Anchor Cervical Implant, the Summit Spine Channel and Yellowstone Interbody fusion systems.
