NextPhase Medical Devices and Proven Process Medical Devices are merging — another example of ongoing medtech contract manufacturing consolidation.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed in today’s announcement.
Waldwick, N.J.– based NextPhase provides electronic manufacturing services and single-use disposable devices to medical device OEMs. Acquiring Mansfield, Mass.–based Proven Process will enable NextPhase to expand its expertise in R&D, engineering, design and manufacturing of FDA Class II and III therapeutic and diagnostic devices.
Proven Process’s specialties include implantables, hand-held devices, combination devices, wearable devices and electro-mechanical capital equipment.
“The acquisition of Proven Process reinforces NextPhase’s growth strategy, extends our technology platform and strengthens our capabilities to help our customers navigate medical device challenges,” NextPhase CEO Carlo W. Colesanti said in a news release. “Proven Process is known for its state-of-the-art engineering and its ability to act with speed to support customers in commercializing their technologies and products.”
