Lenovo and LG announced today that they are collaborating on new medical imaging solutions to aid the radiology community.

According to a news release, the companies will work together to bundle LG’s high-performance medical monitors with the Lenovo original equipment manufacturer (OEM) solutions commercial third-party portfolio of offerings.

“Proven technologies that can support the most advanced AI-enhanced medical imaging solutions, including object detection and segmentation, are being increasingly adopted by healthcare systems,” Lenovo OEM Business GM & Global Executive Tom Hurlbut said in the release. “Lenovo workstations combined with LG medical monitors are rising to the opportunity to advance healthcare.”

LG’s healthcare monitors offer high-quality images to complement Lenovo’s ThinkStation workstations, the companies said, with Hurlburt noting that the collaboration seeks to power “what’s next” in the healthcare and radiology spaces. He said the reliability of Lenovo’s ThinkStation portfolio combined with the quality and performance of LG’s monitors creates “the perfect match” for medical solution developers.
