Frost & Sullivan today announced that it awarded Capsule with a 2021 New Product Innovation Award.
Capsule received the award for its Ventilated Patient Surveillance workstation that helps frontline healthcare providers identify patients in respiratory distress. It extends the reach of intensive care unit staff over the full range of critical care patients. The workstation improves patient safety and reduces the burden on care providers. It uses the ventilator connectivity of the Capsule Medical Device Information Platform and has a tailored configuration of its Capsule Surveillance.
Frost & Sullivan named Capsule for the award because the workstation addresses new market challenges and opportunities, has a deep commitment to providing transformative technologies to benefit healthcare providers and patients and develops core analytics across the entire value chain, according to Frost & Sullivan.
“Capsule Technologies is committed to developing technology that advances its connected health solutions,” Kaustubh Savant, a senior industry analyst at Frost & Sullivan, said in a news release. “Its April 2020 launch of the Ventilated Patient Surveillance workstation is a unique market offering that has been a strong value-add for hospitals’ virtual critical care environments.”
The Capsule VPS workstation can also analyze streaming live data from ventilators, which are typically not connected for surveillance.
