Using augmented reality for surgery
Augmedics has developed what it says is the first augmented reality guidance system for surgery, allowing surgeons to see the patient’s anatomy through skin and tissue as if the surgeons have “X-ray vision.”
Founded by Nissan Elimelech and Dr. Raphael Lotan, the company announced in December 2019 that it secured FDA 510(k) clearance for its Xvision Spine augmented reality system. –TS
