A system for triaging stroke patients to the right hospital
The recipient of the $350,000 grand prize as the 2019 MedTech Innovator global competition winner, Forest Devices develops the Alphastroke system for stroke and large vessel occlusion detection. First responders can use the system to triage patients so that they go to the right hospital.
After the company won last year’s startup competition, MedTech Innovator CEO Paul Grand called its technology a “holy grail opportunity in healthcare.”
Forest Devices at the end of this month formed a partnership with Alberta Health Services to improve healthcare delivery for stroke patients in Alberta. –SW
